In respect to this tumultuous year we are starting new outreach in order to keep our customers and broader community informed with insights and information gathered from experience and various media.
Since March many businesses have faced tremendous change due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The medical field in particular, while at the forefront, has been an area of significant impacts.
When shutdowns first began in March of this year medical offices saw cancelled appointments or even were forced to shut down temporarily. Thankfully telehealth technology had progressed to the point where certain cognitive services could be a telehealth option for many offices. The impact of Covid shows many practices still encountering significantly lower revenue, with studies showing a 30% average revenue drop since March across most specialties.
While the Covid-19 pandemic is front line news today, we receive increasing numbers of calls from providers whose patient mix increasingly includes person with substance abuse. We find this to be important as many people, when confined to home, have a harder time staying on top of their substance use disorder (SUD). With the expansion and changes in the SUD billing and programming, we want to help providers develop effective approaches and appropriately invoice for services.
We hope you will tune in to our updates in the coming months and interact with us as we seek to improve our outreach.
